To beat your social anxiety you need two different elements: practical skills and a change of mindset.
Through virtual coaching we'll be working on both.
Coaching is the ideal way to get help because it is highly personal and ties exactly into your struggles.
Changing your mindset
A key element of social anxiety is your mindset. Those little gremlins in your head which are constantly saying "you're not good enough", "people will never like you" and "you will always be alone".
Through the coaching we'll be discussing your gremlins so you can recognize them and tackle your thinking.
With those out of the way we can move on to practical skills.
Social skill are perfectly learnable. In your coaching program we'll go over:
- How do you walk up to other people?
- How do you connect with them?
- How can you see if somebody is open to a conversation?
- How do you make sure a conversation doesn't bleed out in 5 minutes?
- How can you feel more confident and how do you show that confidence?
- How can you use body language to connect?
What's the result? What do I gain?
That is entirely up to you. The more you make an effort and the more you train at connecting to other people, the more you'll successful you'll be.
The real question is probably this: what would happen if you decided to keep going as you have? How many great times with other people will you miss out on? What career chances are lost? Where are you in 5 years if you do nothing?
How does it work?
How much coaching you want or need is up to you. I offer packages of 5, 10 or 15 sessions.
During a session we'll discuss your struggles, how you can tackle them and see what progress you have made.
Sessions last an hour each and are done over Skype.
There is an option to also get access to me through Whatsapp with 15 coaching sessions.
What have other people experienced?
Rok is a 26-year-old Chemical Engineer from Slovenia. He was very shy around everybody. Under pressure from his family he considered taking up a job in a bakery as a line worker. His lack of social skills prevented him from pursuing his masters degree and a job in chemical engineering.
After receiving coaching and boosting his confidence and people skills he was able to finish his masters degree and he is now well on his to working in this field.
Jessie always found it hard to talk to coworkers. She kept a low profile and avoided social interactions as much as possible.
After discussing tips (in this case body language) she recognized who was open to a conversation and she decided to try talking to her colleagues. And it worked!
