Nerd. Freak. Outlier. Outsider. Gamer.
Those are just a few words that are used to describe the same type of person: somebody who is very good with tech and who loves spending time with their computer. And somebody who isn't very social.
We are often introverts who are comfortable with being alone. We're highly intelligent, analytical and we are quick thinkers.
We're not very good at talking to other people. It's usually not so much that we don't want to, just that we don't really know how to. We're uneasy around other people.
Sometimes we've been bullied or excluded. And that has had a significant impact. That's why we turn to tech and computers: devices won't hurt us like people can.
Despite all that we would like to connect with other people. We're curious, we're great listeners and we can offer excellent advice.
We just don't have the nerve to talk, or we don't know how to carry a conversation. We lack social skills.
Ik was a nerd like that. And I know what it's like to struggle with connecting with other people.
That's why I've created Social Nerd Coaching: to help fellow nerds talk to and connect with other people.
Maybe you're a founder of startup, maybe you're in college or university, maybe you've already started your career: I want to help you connect with other people without you having to pretend to be somebody you're not.
And that's also the story behind the Social Nerd Coaching logo: behind those nerdy glasses is a powerful person. Somebody who deserves to be seen. Somebody who can make a real contribution. Somebody worthy to talk to.
